At the Old Barracks 250th Anniversary celebration, reenactors split wood and did tapering to demonstrate making cedar shingles using period tools. Through a process simular to reverse engineering and researching documents, reenactors at the museum work out how period crafts and traditions were done and exhibit them to the public.

Trenton Old Barracks 250th Anniversary
Corp Brooks and Sgt Minus are participating in the celebration this weekend. Usually we portray black soldiers. Since the Barracks was built before the Revolutionary War, we're in civilian roles as a black freeman or slave.
We first started Rev War reenacting with the Old Barracks at the 225th anniversary of the Battle of Trenton.
