Annual Crossing Dress RehearsalHundreds of reenactors clad in Continental military dress will row across the Delaware River in three replica Durham boats. The event is a dress rehearsal for the annual Christmas Day reenactment of George Washington’s heroic 1776 crossing of the Delaware, which is widely considered a turning point in the American Revolution. During the dress rehearsal, troops will row across the river in uniform just as they do on Christmas, plus additional activities and demonstrations will take place throughout the historic village. Crossing ceremony begins at approximately 1 PM. Cost to attend the dress rehearsal is $8 for adults, $4 for children age five to 11, and free for those under age five.
